Chief Executive Officer

John Sobolewski

John is an accounting and finance professional with broad experience in accounting and the mining industry, including in executive roles with companies within the resources industry in Western Australia. John’s previous roles included CFO and Company Secretary with Mintrex Pty Ltd, Galaxy Resources Limited and Vital Metals Limited, Financial Controller and Company Secretary with Croesus Mining NL and Group Accountant and Company Secretary with Titan Resources NL.

John is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In addition, John currently sits on the board of two not-for-profit entities.

Chief Financial Officer

Kahli Bourke

Kahli is a finance professional with extensive experience within the mining and manufacturing industries. Kahli has also competed her Master of Business Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources. Kahli’s previous roles include Finance Manager for Wallis Drilling P/L, Financial Controller with Lazer Safe P/L and Management Accountant for Mincor Resources NL.

Kahli is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Australian Human Resources Institute. In addition, Kahli is currently on the board/ standing committee of two not-for-profit entities.

Technical Director

Richard O’Rourke

Richard is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in both greenfield and brownfield mineral processing plants and mine infrastructure (open and underground) over a number of commodities, such as gold (free and refractory), copper (sulphide and oxide), nickel (sulphide and laterite), magnetite, chromite across a number of countries including Zambia, Ghana, Mauritania, Brazil, Panama, Tanzania, Laos, New Zealand, Norway and Australia.

Engineering Operations Manager

Adam Moffat

Adam is a Mechanical Engineer, member of Engineers Australia with experience in both site based and design office based engineering roles in the mining industry. He has been a project engineer on multiple projects through the design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases. Adam has spent significant periods of time as a site based engineer on several different sites during both construction and operations providing a strong practical based approach to his work.

Manager of Greenfields Projects

Rudolf Herbst

Rudolf is a Mechanical Engineer, member of Engineers Australia, with post graduate degrees in Engineering and Business Management. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute with over 15 years’ operational and project experience in the mining, minerals and energy industries.

Rudolf has held senior operational positions in maintenance and reliability with Tier 1 Multi-National Organisations. He has executed projects across several commodities and models including Studies, Shutdowns, EPC and EPCM up to mega projects in size and with a greater focus on more complex projects where a higher degree of stakeholder management, risk management, commercials and project controls are required.

Rudolf has experience in Australia and Africa and holds Government Certifications of Competency (GCC) for Mining and Factories in South Africa.

Manager of Studies and Advisory

Leon Lorenzen

Leon has more than 35 years’ in-depth experience in mineral processing, electrochemistry, reactive systems, hydrometallurgy, and waste management treatment, particularly about the application of these technologies in the process industries. Leon has a Ph.D. in Engineering and a post-graduate diploma in management.

Leon is a Chemical and Metallurgical Engineer, and a NER registered Chartered Professional Engineer. Leon is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Leon is also registered as a Chartered Engineer (UK and Europe), APEC Engineer (Asia-Pacific), Professional Engineer (Africa) and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.

Manager of Brownfields Projects

Naim Abou-Rjeily

Naim is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 15 years’ engineering and project experience in mining, mineral processing, and construction. Naim has broad experience in design, feasibility studies, project management, and construction management; that experience was gained in Australia, Asia, Africa, and Europe, on processing plants and infrastructure projects involving gold, base metals, and magnetite.

Naim has held project management, client representative, and superintendent roles covering multi-discipline teams and has a sound understanding of the critical nature of engineering and construction in greenfield and brownfield environments. Naim also has an excellent track record of completing projects on time and budget to the satisfaction of project stakeholders at all levels.
