Degrussa Copper Project

Degrussa Copper Project – Mintrex worked closely with Sandfire to prepare the Scoping, Pre-Feasibility and Bankable Feasibility Studies for the 1.5 Mtpa Copper Project. The challenging schedule for the three study phases was agreed at the outset at 18 months commencing in early 2010 with completion in July 2011. Mintrex subsequently assisted Sandfire with the preparation and award of $114M worth of process plant and infrastructure contracts.

Mintrex completed the following studies for this project:

• Scoping Study – July 2010
• Pre-Feasibility Study – December 2010
• Definitive Feasibility Study – May 2010

In parallel with the DFS Mintrex completed Early Works design and engineering:

• Access road and drainage
• Plant site bulk earthworks
• Infrastructure services
• HV power distribution

Mintrex also prepared documentation, tenders and award recommendations for a total award value of $114M:

• Transportable offices (D&C)
• Workshops (D&C)
• Process plant EPC contract
• Bulk earthworks and access road
• Infrastructure buried services
• Major process plant equipment
• HV powerline
• Potable water package (D&C)
• Fuel storage (D&C)
• Sewerage treatment (D&C)
